Yılmaz Sakallıoğlu

Yılmaz Sakallıoğlu is a geophysics consultant with international experience in onshore and offshore seismic data acquisition, processing and interpretation. In 2024 he founded GeoSeS (Geo Seismic Exploration Services) in Urla, Izmir. The company provides consulting, technical management and representation services on seismic exploration projects for oil and gas, energy and mining companies.

The target audience is energy companies and seismic contractors abroad, so the site had to be in English. It would serve both as a company profile and as the founder's résumé. Dense technical content had to be laid out so industry professionals could scan it quickly.

I hand-coded the site in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, without WordPress or a ready-made theme. I built a one-page structure. Each link in the menu takes visitors to the matching section of the page.

• I organized the page into sections: company profile, vision and values, services, a short summary, résumé, field photos, training program and contact.
• I arranged the seismic data acquisition, processing and interpretation services under separate headings, keeping the industry's technical language.
• In the résumé section, I presented education and work experience in a clear, chronological layout.
• I created a gallery for photos from fieldwork and a separate section for the land seismic training program.

GeoSeS and Yılmaz Sakallıoğlu now have a simple, fast website that presents the company, its services and his experience to an international audience in one place.

The site does not depend on any plugin or ready-made framework, so it is lightweight, easy to maintain and free of security update worries.
